Anybody else feeling this album? I know it's been out for a while, but I'm just starting to really like it. Best since Midnight Vultures (although Sea Change was pretty good in it's own melancholy way).

Any thoughts? This album got pretty bad reviews, but every critic is waiting for another Odelay.

I have it and I have listened to it once. I think I need to listen to it again before I pass judgement but my initial listening did not really inspire me to listen to it again...

Is this another album beyond Guerro? Guerro was ok...much more in the odelay style especially compared to Seachange but just ok IMO. I really like Beck so if there is another album I'll def check it out.

Just as an FYI - I think the Seachange DVD-Audio disc particularly the first two tracks were the best sounding things to come out of my 5.1 channels.

I think his newest one is "the Information". I don't think Beck has ever really disappointed. His albums always take me two or three listens to start to get into them, but they inevitably move their way into heavy rotation.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

The Information is pretty good, but Sea Change is probably my favorite.

Nothing will top Stereopathetic Soulmanure for me, but this one is great as well.

I have not gotten yet, but I will. I need to get Sea Change as well.

The one thing Beck is good for is he is always unique and puts out quality stuff. You may not love it, but you have to appreciate him as an artist.

In addition to being a great album, the sound quality on Sea Change is excellent.

I dig it, about to order it actually. Mark turned me onto it at CES, and it sounded like an Odelay throwback (a good thing).

    Cheers,

The included DVD to Information is crazy stellar..
I'm going to have to side with pimptastic Midnight Vultures as my record of choice..

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Are there hi-rez tracks on the DVD?

And agreed, Midnite Vultures is bad ****. "I wanna get with you, girl yeah! And your sister, I think her name is Debra, ohhh!" I mean, that pretty much sums up how cool that album is.

Great album. I love it. Track 3 sounds amazing on my rig.

Great idea for the physical presentation of the album. I love stickers!
