Does any one have experience with Nad amps, say the 2600 2 channel. I believe it's rated 150 wpc. Would this amp be fine for add on back surround speakers.

I have not heard that model but NAD does make good stuff overall. It should be plenty for surrounds. I only put 60 watts to my surrounds and never have a problem.

Like I said....sell your NAD and use your proccessor to drive your surrounds. Extra money in the pocket is always a good thing.:D

I am not an expert on the Sunfire pre, but if it is just a pre amp (not a receiver), how is he going to power speakers with it?

The pre is a 7 channel receiver. Currently i am only using 5.1 being powered to a cinema grand, which is a 5.1 amp. I want to add surround back speakers. They would be powered from the pre to another 2 channel amp.

Ok, In that case if you have 2 channels free on the receiver, they should be fine for surround duty only. The amp may not be needed.
