FS: Sony 999ES DVD/SACD Player

This player has performed great and is in mint condition. Purchased 03/2005, it's been used soley for dvd playback and it's been great. I've heard that this unit is very good for sacd as well, though I've never used it for that.

with manual & remote.

    You guys are killing me. Not too long ago a NAD C542 at a killer price was ignored and now this $350 price on a $1,000 CDP/DVD/SACD player is getting no play. If you have any interest in SACD or want to step up from an inexpenive multi-format player to one built like a tank and a damn good player to boot...think about this one. Forget the name...the Sony ES line is good stuff...especially for SACD. Folks are all the time asking for advice and want good deals. My advice...this is a very good deal on a good SACD CDP.

    (first the NAD and now this...if I only didn't already have 4 good CDPs...:rolleyes: )

    If someone wanted to kick it up several notches, the 999ES is a great foundation for mods too.

    That is a sweet player. I have only seen two, but the owners loved them. I would have one of these if I didn't find a Marantz DV-8300 for $350 on the Ebay. That is a sweet player too, by the way. ;)
