First I would like to thank everyone who helped me through this. Just got to here'um for the first time, and it was good. can anyone tell me about the screw and washers that go into the back of the passive radiator. what effect does adding, or subtracting weight do to it's response? My common sense tell's me "less weight=tighter bass" but I'm not shure. anyone?

Seeing as the original Polk PR's didn't have that maybe Parts Express can help since they sold them to you. Mass in a PR usually has to do with tuning the freq based on the x-over and cabinet size, etc. Might have to do the old trial and error method.

Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Higher frequencies make the cone move in and out faster, but not as far. If you put your ear to the PR and hear things like voice coming out of them they are not the correct weight. To tune them experiment with different wights added to the pr. Its free just time consuming. Make sure you play a variety of music through them before deciding that the weight isn't right.

    Good luck

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
