Hello everbody!! Ok, I got the replacement P.Radiators in, and they have a screw about 1 1/4" long with a washer. What do I do with said screw & washer? and do I need a gasket to seal the speaker or should I use silicon or what? step by step please. Thank's in advance for your input! :D

Where did you get the replacements? Are they genuine Polk replacements? I'm assuming they are used as Polk hasn't sold those parts in a long time.

Have you pulled the other PR's out of the speaker to see how they are installed and sealed? That would be the first step. I used to own RTA 11's but never had a reason to pull the PR's so I don't know.

Replacements came from parts express, since polk does not carry these anymore. The original radiator's were missing when I got them from a friend, and he threw them away some where along the line!!

I suppose that's a good compromise. I'm sure they won't be the exact spec., but what other alternatives do you have. Maybe someone will know for sure on the gasket thing. As far as the screw and washer that's probably not what the original Polk PR's had. You'll probably have to rig it somehow. Maybe some of the speaker builders on the forum can give you some idea's about sealing the PR's. A small amount of silicon I'm sure won't hurt anything.

OK so these arent Polks but replacements either way. Now I might be going out on a limb but. It should be taking washers off to "tighten the bass up" as more weight should make it mushy or loose sounding. F1nut and DarqueKnight or even Htrookie are by far you best information specialists.

I just bought replacements for my S8s both passive and drivers you sure polk didnt have them
