I have a 7 channel sunfire theater grand with a Sunfire cinema 5 channel amp. I would like to add two surround back speakers. What would be my options to do this. Do I just need another amp for the additional channels. Thanks as always for your help, Doug

Yep. Connect the amp to the corresponding pre-outs on the Grand, and connect the speakers to the amp. That's it.
Oh yeah, you may need to go into the Grand and make sure it's configured for 7.1 instead of 5.1.
You'll need to calibrate the system with an SPL meter once you've hooked it up.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
