Ok had another question.....

should I buy 4 10' inch sony xplod with 2 12' inch sony xplod <----all one setup
or
2 MTX 8000 pro series 15 inchers
or
2 Audiobahn 15 inchers<---not sure what kind

And which ones would be louder and they all cost about the same....the Sonys are brand new but the Audiobahn and the MTX are used

MTX by about a billion times.

MTX is extremely well made, high quality gear and their subs are virtually indestructible, move major air and still sound good. MTX is one of the best audio brands going.

Sony rules if youre wanting a tv or digital camera. Thats about it.

Audiobahn blows dog. But it has cool chrome flames so all the kids in the high school parking lot will think youre cool.

MTX takes off where xtant left off.
audiobahn is cheap crap mac's right.
Sony's explode are known to blow easy.

Of the 3 you'd definately want the MTX, sony car audio isn't worth the box it comes in... seriously, corrugated cardboard is more valuable...

Audiobahn is overpriced crap, not worth nearly what it'll cost ya...

MTX is solid, and provides reasonable sound quality at good volumes, especially considering the reasonable price point.

and if you REALY want to step up in the world get a pair of 15" Adire audio Brahmas with the dual 4ohm voice coils (http://www.adireaudio.com/) better THD at low frequencies than just about any other sub out there (if there is one better i have yet to find it) and they'll still shake your fillings loose :D and power them with a US Amps AX 2000, pushing 2000w at 4 ohms. run the voice coils of each sub in parallel and the pair of subs in series to the amp for a 4ohm load and all your friends will think you're the ****.
MacLeod: I guess youre lucky Polk has such lax hiring standards.

    Josh: Damn skippy!

Step up from what? Audiobahn maybe but not MTX, not by a longshot.

JBL has better speakers but Id take MTX amps and subs over JBL anyday of the week. Theyre just powerhouses.

JBL GTI subs are just as or better than mtx top of the line period.....

Any of them. But their specifically their Thunder line. Those things not only move more air than a wind tunnel but are pretty much indestrucitible. And to top it all off, they sound really good too!

I most admit, I ran the 4500 series 12' sub. Sold it 3 years ago....
It had decent output and SQ wasn't bad!....:D
