I know this is an older game (PS2), but damn it is good. The wife bought this for me for Christmas and I can't put it down. It is now cutting into my Club Polk time :(

    I bought this a month ago and played straight through it.... I couldn't put it down either. Unbelievable game! Probably in my top 5 favorites of all time.
    I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    One of the main reasons I bought, which is now, my 3rd playstation. There are so many AAA titles for the PS2 now and they are all dirt cheap. God of War is a fantastic game.

    Hell yes, GOW kicks A$$. Played it through twice. I would have sold the game and manual for a good price. And yes i have brought this game up a few times in the last two years. Maybe soon you guys will discover Guitar Hero's.
    PS GOW II comes out in February, i think.

    Oh yeah I hear that. I actually got my Dad to play it while I have been visiting home and he got a kick out of it and in the process got a few of my friends hooked. Every time I see GHII in the store I come so close to buying it but I am holding off for the 360 version and the downloadable songs. :cool:

    It took me forever to figure out you needed to impale him. I spent nearly an hour and a half just kicking the crap out of him.

    I did not find it that challenging, except for the joystick rotations that were a pain in the ****. I cheated a bit with a walkthru so I knew about the impaling.
    I beat the game last night in Normal mode. Great ending. I found some of the endless spinning bladed logs in Hades boring. And that DAMN rotating blade wall you have to climb sucked big time. I cursed out the TV for a half an hour.

    I am a bit dissapointed that I do not get to keep all the magic and weapons for God Mode. The thought of doing it all again harder drives me nuts. I know you get get invincibility and other stuff if you beat God Mode.

    Anybody beat God Mode? Is it worth it?

    Right now I am playing in God Mode and it is a ****. I am at the part with the 2 women in bed and the minigame. I am trying to upgrade my weapons and magic early to level the playing field somewhat. It is taking forever but is working.

    I tried the Challenge of the gods. I cannot beat the last challenge. I tried like 25 times and keep getting thrown off the platform. I wish I could just do the jet pack cheat from GTA...

    LOL, Angry is the right word. I think I called my TV every name in the book that day, especially since it took a while to beat challenges 1-9 and the game cannot be saved. I have done some research and found a walkthru that talks about some ground move to do that board, they say it is easy with that move. I cannot confirm this yet because I am still working on God Mode. Good luck.

    OK Scott, when are you sending me that memory card?

    I had read that each suit gives different powers. One suit, not sure which one, gives unlimited magic power. Is that the case? Awesome if so.

    GOW 2 looks like a must buy. I had thought it was going to be released for PS3, that would make more sense to jump start that system with a great title.

    Venom, send me a card and i'll copy it for ya. GOW II was well in development before PS3 software was available. Metal Gear and Devils May Cry have been in the PS3 works.

    Thank you for the offer. I am going to try one more time with the walkthru I have, if that does not work I will send you a PM. Thanks again.

    I do not think my wife will let another GOW into the house as she knows how much time I spent with the first one. She cringes when a GTA comes out because she knows she will not see me for a month. My bulldog has no objections though, he just sits by my side chewin on something, sometimes the controller.
