Thanks for your service as well. I'm guessing that you are Army based on some of your locations. I'm a POG by design, but these days over there we are all patrolling, running security, and training the Iraqis.

I just figured out how much money I'm spending and now I need to cut some costs. I can save $700 by staying with the 8s, so this will help out tremendously with the SVS PB12-Plus/2 ($1200) purchase.

If anyone hears of any good deals on a 2 channel amp or 2 monos, please let me know.

    Nope, I'm Navy.:)

    I'm a K9 handler, I have fun looking for bombs.

You work with the MIT team, what do you do?

I got a good chuckle when you said "training the Iraqi's"... You are right, but it doesn't matter because they will do what they want to do regardless. They needed their hands held at all times, when we leave that country there are going to be some serious problems. I always hated going on missions with them, it was like going on patrol with children. My mission prayers, ACOG:) and dog of course seemed to keep me safe.

Sorry to get off topic and get military. Have fun and enjoy that new setup, I'm sure you'll love the RTi8 and Plus/2 combo if you go that route.

I have the 12's in my own Theater. Go for the best. I am running a Denon AVR-3805 and a CineNova 5 channel 1000 watts per channel. You really need alot of power to drive the 12's and the pay off is awesome!! Too much power is just enough!!

Limited time measurements are somewhat irrelevant ... I think what you mean is that ... there are no 2 ohm Polk Speakers ... or if you prefer ... The Cinenova is 300 wpc @ 8 ohm ... There are LOTS of Polk's that can take what the Cinenova has to dish out ...
