Hey everyone, so i got a used c500.1 from a friend i know and the MM2124 finally got here about a week ago. I only got a chance to install it last night. After everything was done, i stumbled upon a small problem. When i start up my car, the amp powers up and everything looks fine and the blue power light is on. When i play a song however, power cuts on and off and the "short" light flashes once really quickly. It does this every time the cone is about to move. I double-checked and triple-checked all of my wiring and everything looks ok, the fuse isn't burnt, although i didn't check the ones in the amp, maybe its one of them? (there's 2 25A). just curious if you guys would recommend anything, or is something maybe wrong with the amp? I used a 50A fuse for my power cable and grounded the amp using the screw in the trunk for the baby seat, btw. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

-Ahmed

PS. HAPPY NEWYEAR!

    Agreed.

It could be a lousy ground, too small a power wire, your battery or alternator could also be sub par.

Assuming all those things are ok, then it sounds like you got a crapped out amp.

you're right about that one. I took my car to 2 car audio installation pros and they both said my wiring was well done and something is wrong with the amp. The guy who sold it to me is refunding it and I'm gonna buy a brand new one just to avoid the same problem again. I'm sooo upset. :(
