WTB: Pair of M5 Junior Series II

I was recently burglarized and a beloved pair of Polk Audio Monitor 5 JR + series 2 were stolen. If anyone has a pair (preferably black) of them that they would like to sell, please contact me. Also, if any one could provide me with a general range of what they would be worth, I would be greatly appreciative.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Prices on these vary but average $100 to $150 depending on condition. Watch Ebay and Craigslist and you will find a pair if none show up here.

Those are apples, he's looking for oranges. Monitor series 2 have sl2500 tweeters which are less screechy. Ted, try and get a pair locally which will cut the risk of shipping damage along with shipping cost. The old woofers don't like being dropped so have them well packed if you decide to go that route.

Does any one know if Polk produced a 5JR+ and a 5JR+ series 2. From all that I can gather it looks as though the + designation is associated only with the monitor series 2.

I would be extremely interested in M5's. In fact, after reviewing the literature it looks like that is what I should have been looking for from the onslaught. I have a pair of M7 series 2 that I will be using for the for front channel and a CS200 for center channel (that were luckily in storage when I was robbed) that I am trying to match.

what are the first ones then? not Monitror 5jr's i don't think. maybe a monitor 4 or 4.5 i think. not sure. looks odd to me.

I think the speakers in question are in fact 5Jr's with the SL1000 tweeter.

Post #14.... I would like to know the tweeter part number? I'm trying to figure out what the tweeters look like as newer improved tweets came along. My 5s have the SL 2000 the "silver coil"....

I am pretty sure that the speakers linked on post #14 have the SL2500 tweeters.
*note the foam ring between the actual speaker and the black screws.
