Has anyone else wasted their money on renting this piece of crap? OMG! This is argueably the worst movie I've seen in a looooooooooong time. I kept waiting for something to happen, and I waited for a looooooooooooong time....and when it did happen, it was stupid. Bad plot, bad acting, just plain bad moviemaking.

Hmph, duly noted, I was on the fence about renting this one (not a huge horror fan) so now I probably won't.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Compared to "Jack Frost" (1996) I would guess this movie will deserve an Oscar.

Thanks for the warning. I was wondering whether I should pick the DVD up when it comes out.

I know it kinda-sorta looks like one from the previews...but it ain't.

    Minor spoiler ahead...

When the "Big Climatic Scene" takes place you'll wonder why it didn't happen about 15 minutes into the film.

This is just a remake. I didn't see this one, but I own the original. If you're looking for a bloody horror movie, I doubt this will be your thing. It's more of a mystery, for lack of a better word.

I have to agree, this was the dumbest movie. My wife and I both were like, ARG, what a complete waste of time. We had been waiting for months to rent this, because it looked so good, but were so completely let down, we almost yelled!

    Terrible acting, terrible plot.

    D- film.

    Was there a remake?

The original early 70s version is worth seeing just for Britt Ekland's long, extended, nude dance scene! OMG she was so hot! :D

I have to agree/ big disapointment! The original is considered a cult classic, does anyone remember if the remake follows the same plot line, I have not seen it but I am curious if the original has the same abrupt ending.

The ending of the original is not abrupt, but I haven't seen the new one.
