In cieling Speakers

I am replacing my floor standing rear surround speakers with RC80i cieling mounted speakers.

Question: Should I build an enclosure for them, or leave them open to the
the attic. If they are left " open ", will this affect sound quality?

Any help / opinions are greatly appreciated.

    In-Ceiling speakers are usually installed with an open back, I have a couple of pairs and they were installed "open". The main reason to build an enclosues would be to minimize heat loss through the attic.
