Does anyone know the usual time of year new products hit the shelves? I'm thinking specifically Eclipse and Alpine. I'm getting sick of my Alpine's iPod interface (2004 model with the really crappy interface) and don't want to settle for less features on the current Alpine models. I have also heard Eclipse current models have really crappy iPod interfaces so I don't want one of those either. I'm hoping thier 2007 stuff is better.

Thanks,

Howie

These two companies usually take a little while getting their stuff out, especially their higher line offerings. The good thing is that we should see what's available from them by next month.

The current Alpine ipod interface is much better than the original, from what I hear (I never used the first gen). Alpine will be showing new stuff at CES in a couple weeks. As to when it hits the shelves- soon after or July, depending on the product, if history is any indicator. I think some of the stuff is ready to ship.

I want to see more of this:

Well Alpine just updated thier site. They added the new receivers including the one linked to in this thread ($450 MSRP). It seems it doesn't play CDs but I pretty much only use my iPod in the car. They also added 2 more PDX amps, a 100 Watt X 4 and a 600 Watt X 1 (both $550 MSRP)! Seems perfect for my SR6500's and then add a SR sub! Plus I can fit all this in my trunk plus a couple sets of golf clubs. So its all good. Now I just need the $$$
