    Woodland Park Native Killed In Iraq

    Hundreds of family members and friends of PFC Seth Stanton gathered Wednesday at New Life Church in Colorado Springs to celebrate his life and mourn his death. Stanton was a Woodland Park native.

    He moved to Colorado City and attended Coronado High School. He was an avid enthusiast of off road vehicles and there were many who shared that passion in attendance at Wednesdays memorial service. Stanton was killed two weeks ago while on patrol in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

    Frank a short while ago my daughter learned what a soldier was and proclaimed: I'm going to be a SOLDIER! she is now 6.

    My answer was immediatly a NO.

    I thank God and our Nation in ensuring FREEDOM is the end game. My eternal grattitude is extended.
