I just bought a db212-2 and i was wondering what kind of amp i should buy. I noticed some of you said the kenwood amp would be good but is there any amp a little less expesive? Also what kind of power am i going to need for the db212-2 and db690's. So the question is what amp do i need to power the subs and speakers that isnt way expensive?

Wow! Thanks for the info! But your sayin i need two amps? i cant buy just one bigger one or is this the right way to go? And do you think im gunna need to upgrade the system with any more speakers like tweeters?
MacLeod, thanks for your help. -
You'll need seperate amps for the sub box and 6x9's, since they'll be playing different frequencies. You'll want to low pass the db212 somewhere between 60- 100 Hz, depending on your taste, and high pass the db690's somewhere around 80- 100 Hz.

Hey thanks alot. But do you think those profile amps MacLeod was talking about are good. Because i dont want crap but i really cant spend too much more on my ride.

Profile makes the best $100 amps on the market - but theyre still $100 amps.

Alrite, i have a little money to spend. But not $500. I want a good amp that will last through, well, all the hell i put it through. LOL! But theres no way i could tell the difference between amps, or, sad to say, anything. So what are my options? what can i choose from? Another thing, i have the 690's and 212's, do you think ill need tweeters, or another smaller speakers set?

$500 for both amps? That aint gonna get you a whole lot seeing that you need a 700 watter.
I found these at Sounddomain.com. Very good quality amps and in the power range youd need. $440 total for both with free shipping.

what does bridged power mean? the 690's take 100 watts each and the kicker zx200.4 gives Bridged: 100 x2 at 4 ohms and thats what they take. but what is the bridged output?
