Can anyone make some personal recommendations for (or against) record cleaning devices? I've used a venerable old Discwasher for years but am looking to move up to something better, hopefully to restore some life to my old discs before archiving them. The Nitty Gritty seems popular. Does it work well? How about static removers? Are they worth it?

A good starter record cleaner is one of Nitty Gritty's semi automatic machines, they are inexpensive (relatively of course) and they work very well. I Still have me Nitty Gritty 1.5 FI but I just purchased a VPI 16.5 for some heavy duty work.pblanc wrote:Can anyone make some personal recommendations for (or against) record cleaning devices?
