I was wondering if anyone knew of a good Adcom repair center. I have no problems finding repair centers, but I would like one that has been used by someone who can give me a good recommendation.
Thanks, Ben

this repair center really seems to know their stuff. I am impressed by reading their website so far. They will be doing some repair work on my NAD 2600A in the near future.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Theirs a store near me "Audio Arts" Dick Wright is the owner repairman that has over 43yrs experiance and is extreamly good, he has all the equipment. He deals with McIntosh from day one and is also their full service certified repair person and also repairs NAD, Denon and all others, real nice man. Give him a call I know he can help, 1-330-758-2158. If you do happen to call him tell him I said hi.

It seems that all the gurus have given you multiple concrete inputs on this matter. The problem on this amp was passed on to you by the 1st owner right? If that's the case then I rest my case but If your environment is the source then let's start from the basic.....Get your components grounded, connection tight these will get rid off the hum. Other factors were already discussed from the previous thread. Now if the problems continue, time for the PRO. Call local electricians and try to stay with the guy while he's troubleshooting. They'll do just fine.Godspeed,

The problem is the Gfa-585 and Gfa-565 (mono blocks) were quite a bit different than the regualr GFA series. They were a bit more complicated especially at the output stage and they can be tricky (moreso than the regular GFA series) to troubleshoot. This means finding someone with some experience with this particular model. That expereince shouldn't be just working on the more common GFA's. If you have the motivation and time head over to:
