    Greetings guys my dilemna is my contact in the states upped the price on the hk3480 so well i cancelled getting. Looking for budget option for 2 channel with receiver leaning towards denon dra397(about 269+) or the hk 3380 which ican get of amazon. easiest when it comes to payment and shipping this way. Any thoughts realiability and sound (for the price that is)

    Will prob be using the titan monitor v5 with these. I have to wait till may to get the new rtia3 right???

    Oh it seems everywhere the oppo970 is back ordered any suggustions for a cheap player analog interconnects till i upgrade my tv was looking the .

    Samsung DVD-HD860 off amazon good idea or bad idea i know even less about this stuff. upconverts and its cheap......... thoughts more than welcome

    Well just an update of sorts went the cheaper route and got the 3380hk with shipping all the way to the caribbean $236 not bad i think so. I also got the nad525 with some audioquest interconnects pretty satified with that. My paradigm mini's are soon on the way as well.

    I'm looking at a second pair of bookshelves very keen on seeing how the new rtia3 will sound. But i'm looking at those the focal 706v or 807v, the studio20's and a speaker that would love to know who else has heard them the era design 5. Open to any input from you guys...........

    I you like your mids uncolored and some surprising bass the Design 5 are definitely a speaker to take serioously. However, as much as I like HK, I don't know whether the 3380 is a good match. I suggest you visit the AVSForum, go under speakers, there is a thread for Era Speakers. David Solomon himself posts on there. I know he will reply, although it may take a few days.

    Thanks as always mark how is everything with you long time no see or hear. I owe you an email. Actually i'll prob consider CA with those eras if they are what i want. I'm trying to avoid getting a sub. Since i'm not a bass freak like in my younger days. I would not mind spending a little more on those if i can find a nice sounding bookshelve that does not require a sub.
