REPOST: SVS PB12ISD/2 Advice Needed
My apologies to all for the duplicate post - but this auction ends tomorrow morning at 8:30 or so and I'd really like to get some first hand advice. I have done searches and I feel very comfortable about the SVS reputation etc. I am just looking for some info from people I trust. Original post HERE.

There is an SVS PB12ISD/2 on Ebay that is just across town from me that I am thinking of purchasing Link.
Does anyone own this particular model?
Is the newer version substantially better, and more to point, is it worth the extra $$?
Does the price seem right? It is higher than Blue Book but I understand it is all about what the market will bear.
It would be used for about 80% HT and 20% music (maybe not that much as I usually turn off the sub for music).
My room is 19' 17" x 21', open on one end and the ceiling on one side is about 15' high. Will this sub suffice?
Thanks to everyone in advance for any advice they can give.
Oh - and thanks to BigYank for posting this in the Flea Market area.
Cheers!
Chris

Chris,
The NSD driver is substancially better than the ISD, closer to the old Plus driver if not equal, but the ISD is no slouch. This equates to better definition and higher spl across the FR.
$750 for the ISD/2 is an ok deal (not great), better since you don't have to pay shipping or tax. The sub is a monster and will pressurize 6000 cubic feet with ease.
So it's up to you...a new NSD/2 will cost you a grand to bring home and is probably close or equal to the old Plus/2.

Hi Ron,
Thanks again for the reply. I did actualy pick this up as the previous owner and I agreed on a price we could both live with.
I hafta admit that I was not prepared for the sheer SIZE of the thing - it's HUGE! I am very satisfied with it so far and I really haven't even had the time to play with placement, calibration etc. It's only gonna get better!
Thanks again!

That's a monster. Keep your pets away from it as I used to own a cat.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Congratulations Chris,
It is big...kinda like a mini-freezer in black, but I imagine you have noticed the upgrade;)

Upgrade does not begin to describe the difference. I never realized how much a sub can tie your whole system together for HT. Plus it is pretty cool to actually feel the movies.
Fortunately both of my dogs are 50lbs+ so they shouldn't go the way of Mark's cat.
