Anyone have a pair of RT800, RT800i or similar for a great price? My budget is around $300, so I'm pretty limited. Anyone have anything they're willing to sell? Thanks!

I have a pair of 800s with low hours and in good condition, only blimish is that my cat scratched up the cover for one speaker. The speakers them selves are absolutly fine and sound great. If you are still interested let me know.

Do you have any pics of the cat scratch blemish? Where are you located...local or shipping?

I can get some pictures to you if you email me at rotfllollol@hotmail.com I am located in South Carolina. I could ship them, pack them up extreamly well and such.

Thanks to themuffinofevil for responding. They looked great other than the cosmetic damage, so I had to pass. I would have bought them if I wasn't so anal.
Still looking for a nice pair of 800s. Anybody looking to upgrade and unload their old 800s? -

I may be interested in your speakers if they are RT800i's.
I emailed your private address for details. -

I've looked at these also. I almost carried them out his door - they are in great condition overall. Then we pulled them away from the wall and began unplugging them and I noticed the "problems." There were no adjustable feet on either tower (though he promised he had them and would get them from storage and deliver them to me), and one tower had a broken binding post (the threaded part was sheared off under the cap). So, I passed...for now.
I've got another post on the forum regarding this, but does anybody know if the post replacement is available and is it an easy diy fix? -
well. those are minor fixes... and if that's all that's wrong with em.. you MAY want to reconsider them.. plus.. with those slight missing parts.. you can talk him down some on the price too. it's a win, win. i'd think about it again if i were looking for RT800's.. and in the Seattle area..PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

That's what I'm having a hard time with. Is it a minor fix? Is it just a matter of unscrewing the binding post plate and popping the old post out and throwing a new one in? Is there anything to be careful of during the process? Any idea what it may cost to replace the post and if it is available from Polk?
He has a set of RT2000s with feet and said he may include those if I would prefer. Would these feet fit the RT800s?
Thanks. -
I've never replaced the binding posts on any speakers.. someone in here will more than likely know the answer though.
the RT800's have two binding posts I believe.. so you could always use the good binding posts only. you only need both sets of binding posts if you are bi wiring them.
The adjustable feet may be available from Polk Audio. Now that you are a Club Polk member.. mention this when ordering replacement parts.. for a discount.
The RT2000's would be a good speaker as well... if the price is right of course.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

I'm hoping someone knows the answer...I also posted a thread in troubleshooting for the binding post question.
I won't be going for 2000s, he just mentioned the possiblity of the feet off of his to put onto the 800s. -
still looking for some RT800s, anybody willing to part with a pair?
