Space and budget constraints :)

I just spent less than $1000 on the following 5.1 system :
receiver: Onkyo TX504 [consumer reports best value]
center: CS1 [too deep for shelf]
Front L/R: Monitor 40 [amazing sound for $$]
Rear L/R: RC55i [in ceiling - don't ask ]
Everything is great except for the center speaker - it's too deep [think depth] for the mantle where I want to place it [under plasma]. Aside from the RM7302/RM302, all the other Polk Audio center channels won't fit
Now, the million $$ question: would it be really 'stoopid' to use the RM7302/RM302 with the aformentioned system? If so, what are my options.
Thanks for your help.

Can you go inwall for the center?Political Correctness'.........defined

I'd rather not go into the wall - I will consider it though. Also, the CS1 is a bit too tall to fit under the plasma without going flush with into the wall.
Poor planning indeed.

Ok, well I'm out of ideas, but I'm sure some of the other guys will chime in.Political Correctness'.........defined

Are you implying the RM7302/RM302 is not a good choice?

Nope, but it's generally a good idea to stick with the same model type for the front three at least.Political Correctness'.........defined

My other option is to match the RM7302/RM302with 2 x RM6901/RM201 [front L/R] in lieu of the Monitor 40's - a bit more expensive and I think a bit less performance, judging by some of the other threads.
I just hate to move away from the Monitor 40 speakers.
Thanks again for the time.
