I am new to this forum and have posted a previous q on the tweaking the 2.3's. I am the original owner and have had them since "89". I am not sure if the caps are still good or if I should replace them.

TIA

Hi TIA! Welcome to the Club Polk Forums! I have a pair of SDA-SRS 2.3's also. You find that a number of members here have them. I did some crossover and tweeter upgrades that you can read about here:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35837

The tweeter upgrades are almost a must. Polk sells the replacement sild dome tweeters for $48 each. A crossover upgrade, depending on the capacitors you use, will run you $125 to $300. Many members including myself have been pleased with the results of this investment. Use the "Search" tool on this Forum to find out a lot more about your 2.3's.

Congrats on your speakers! Tell us more about your system and good luck!

Be sure to double check if you have the 2.3's or the 2.3TL's. If you look at the drivers on the 2.3's you will see that the top and bottom driver in the line of 4 look different than the rest. On the 2.3TL's, all the drivers look the same.

    Thanks for the info.

They are the 2.3's and not the TL's.

Where is the cross over on the 2.3. I also checked the Sonic Craft web site. I did not see the caps you used listed. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the lit.

How did you access the crossover? I am thinking I will have to remove my woofers?

Remove the PR, disconnect the wires, hold the crossover with one hand while loosening the hex head bolt on the rear panel, pull the crossover assembly out thru the PR hole.
