Adcom 535. It'll give you 60 wpc and only costs about $100 on ago or ebay.
With luck, I'll be upgrading after xmas from one, but so far it's been a solid amp.Lovin that music year after year.

Several Adcoms in Audiogon (60,80 or 100 WPC); you can get the smaller ones for less than $200, and will be plenty for your speakers._________________________________________________

The 100 watts into 8ohms is not a bad idea.Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

I would look to something 100 watts or bigger, I was using an Adcom GFA5400 that puts out 130 watts at 8ohms 200 at 4. I think it sounded nearly as good as my GFA-555, and GFA-7500. I might be getting rid of my GFA-5400. I was going to bi amp my tweets with it, I just don't know if its worth it. Here is a link to look up specs for the adcom equipment. You will notice a huge improvement over your receiver with 100 watts or more a channel. I checked out your speakers and they say they can take 200 watts. It also depends how loud you want to go. Do you have pre outs on your receiver, or will you be using a pre amp?
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Ben thanks for your help. I would probably buy a new receiver with pre-outs+the new adcom amp. I am looking in the wattage range of 200-300 watts. One day I will be upgrading to the RTi series, LSI, or whatever Polk has had the time that sounds good. I dont really play loud cause I have a kid. Just looking for something to wake up the Monitor 60's.Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

I will be going used.
Adcom just called back with the prices.
799 for 125 per channel in 8ohm
1499 for 200 per channel in 8ohm
How does Adcom compare with Rotel?Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!! -
Rotel is better, IMO, and more expensive...though (again IMO) you need speakers higher up in the food chain to notice the "better" part. Adcom is still good, and I would recommend you get something used; you'll get a lot more for your money._________________________________________________

Yeah I am planning to upgrade, that is why I want a amp in the 200-300 watt range to drive the Rti line.Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!! -
This one looks good, but how do you hook it up to the pre-out receiver.
I dont see any RCA outs.

you don't have rca outputs on amps you hook the pre-out from your recevier to the rca inputs on the amp and they are on each side of the speaker outputs on that amp.Casey

I agree, the 535 is an underated amp. I use it to drive some power hungry B&W bookshelfs, and it has no problem.

They split up the two lines, probably with the idea of preventing the channels from mixing in long runs.
If you look at the singular white RCAs on the left and right sides on the back, that's where you'd hook them up.Lovin that music year after year.

Nevermind, deaf ears.
Cheers,

Personally I like gainclones for cheap amps with a decent amount of power. I got one on audiogon custom made for a 4 ohm load with a input impedance to match my pre, ~60 watts of power for $170 shipped.

I have a Carver that's 200W per channel that I'd move to you for $225 shipped. PM inbound...

The 535 is the first amp I bought; it is powering my Atriums and will probably move with me if I ever move_________________________________________________

How do I bridge? I have a 8ohm load.Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!! -
It's usually a switch on the back of the amp which would also require different wiring of the outputs ... In the process though while gaining additional power, a 2 channel amp becomes a one channel amp i.e. you would need two amps each of which was bridged to drive a pair of speakers.
