Jolida mods

Seeking advice from anyone who has had a Jolida 302 or Jolida 502 integrated amplifier modified. Did you feel it made a significant difference? Who did the modification? Did you have the stock amp before it was modded?
I would also welcome advice from anyone who has swapped tubes in these amplifiers. I'm especially interested to know whether NOS tubes are worth the high prices they command.

Yes, the Jolida mods can and do make a difference. I used to own a 502A in stock form and modified it, and it made a big difference. However, if I had to do it over again, I would have bypassed modifying it and bought another amp because mods don't improve resell value very much, if at all. I changed out the caps and resistors on the preamp board and power supply board, defeated the balance, added a sub out, and put some dampening materials in it. The biggest benefit would be to change out the tubes. Get yourself some Groove Tube 12AX7M's (Mullard clones). IMO, spending a wad of cash on NOS tubes is a waste of money on the Jolida.
If you're still interested in mods, get it professionally done by Response Audio or someone else who is quite familiar with Jolida products.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Yeah, one doesn't do mods to increase resale value. It should only be done for your own personal enjoyment.Political Correctness'.........defined

What I meant was that for the additional money you pay for mods, you can simply buy a better amp and not be concerned about mods at all.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
