New to club polk and to SDA's. Just bought a pair from ebay for 244.00. When I received them they needed a little work from damage during shipping. Got them working and wow!!! I am hooked on SDA's. I have a pair of Mon 5B's, RTA 15TL's, and a pair of 4a's. The SDA's sound incredible. The interconnect cable I got from Polk works well but the connection in back is loose on both speakers. It is the blade style. Any suggestions?? Also any suggestions on tweeter replacments?

Thanks

Mark

I just got a set of sd2's on ebay also, and I have the RTA15tl's too.
    How did I do?
    Thanks Ben

Congrats Acerjac and Welcome to the Club Polk Forums! You've got a great pair of speakers! I hope you and ben62670 didn't buy the same pair! Congrats and good luck!

You did better than I did. I looked at the set you purchased and they are in better shape then mine. I had to put some money into the speakers I purchased. One of the 6.5's was blown. Good job!

There is a silk dome that the guys here talk about as an upgrade. The old sl2500's are fairly sharp and fatiguing after a while. I am not sure how the sl2000's sound, because I haven't recieved mine yet! Look into replacing the caps in the crossovers too. I hear that helps a lot. What are you driving them with?
    Enjoy... Ben

Right now I am using a NAD T753 to power them. Its ok but they would sound better with more power. I also have an old HK PA 2400 (175 watts a channel) that I use to power the 15's and they sound alot better with it. I will be getting another amp later on. I have heard about the silk tweeters and have them in the 15 TL's. They do sound good.
