I have a Mitsubishi from 2001. Here is the problem when i watch HDTV
on DTV 1080I the colors have a kind of grey tint to them. If I watch it on 480I the colors are fine, but then I have the grey lines. Is it the tv or the cable? Any help would be great. I am actually selling the tv to someone who I think is getting regular cable.
Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not saying you not see Grey, but I don't think it's the TV (but maybe I wrong). Ok so how are you getting HDTV? Cable you say cable box or just cable? Does the TV have a HDTV tuner or just a HD input?

We could to rule out any other troubles first.

I would say its the cable box. I'm having a problem with the audio where I get a loud popping sound when i change channels or goes to commercial. I have replaced the cables so my next step is the box. I would try this first hope this helps.

I am getting the HDTV through a cable box. I think it is probably just a hd input.

I'm with Fireman on this feeling it's the Cable Box, unless you need a reason to upgrade set? Then Hell Yes it's the TV.
