I have an old , but good-RMDS-1 system..it still sounds fine however I would like to upgrade it--used mostly for surround tv in a large room--plenty of room for floor speakers up front and must go with wall mounted rear speakers--- what speaker upgrades are possible with this system ?
-- should I expect much of a difference ?
-- how much cost to make a significant difference ??

You are limited only by receiver power and your budget. I would think that smaller Polk towers such as R30s and R50s would go nicely with your RMDS. Same could be said of the Monitor and RTi line. Stay on the lower end of the floorstanders and you should be okay.

Anything on the bottom six offerings on this page should do the job.
