Doesn't look too hot but it may just be an issue with his display. I haven't tried backwards compatibility on one yet.
This is ridiculous though.

that's a shame...
don't beat someone up for a videogame console and police won't come to your dorm room and shoot you..

Hello
I've been following that thread now for awhile and its brought up some other questions too, mainly on my psx2.
I'm running it via monster component into a Samsung LCD and have been playing FFXII on it. I excpected the image not to look the best but theres been some posts on there of some screenshots of the game via a psx2 on an hdtv. And it looks pretty good actually, alot better then what mine looks.
So you guys got any ideas why some peoples psx2's look great on hdtv's while other don't.
Doesn't seem to make any difference which version of the console you have. Fat, slim, progressive. I tried disabling Progressive on mine and it didn't make any difference either.....
Heres two different screen shots of the game. They've been comparing the shots using the square enix logo at the beggining to show this "flipped pixel" problem
Heres mine, if you zoom in using Firefox you can see the problem more clearly....

And heres one that looks alot better, both on a psx2:
