I am planning on buying some TC615is for the front L/R. Would it be better to get the TC65i for the center channel or use another 615? A sales guy at a B&M store told me I should get all 3 the same, but I was thinking the 65 would be better than the 615 for center since it has a wider frequency range.

I have 615s for my rears and have auditioned the 65s. I didn't hear a significant improvement from the 615s to the 65s and did not pay the extra for the 65s. I use 265s for my left and right, and have a CSi40 for the center. I would not hesitate to use a 265 for the center if my arrangement called for an in-built. Personally, I wouldn't use either the 65 or 615 as your center, I would use a 265. I see them on e-bay NIB for for 300 +/-.

Welcome, and enjoy your new Polk speakers.

Yes, they are "better". But, only you can really determine if they are worth the extra investment in your situation. I am not staying in this home for much longer so I didn't want to spend too much on in-builts. The TCi series are darned good and I can leave them behind without going broke. The LCi series are real sweat, but will take ALOT more power to get them to sound their best. Do you have a dealer where you can audition both side-by-side?

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I am going to stick with the TCi's and use a 265 as my center. Now I have to figure out the sub. PSW303, PSW404 or PSW12? The room is 12X15 but its also opens into the kitchen on one side (so I guess it would really be about 12X25)

Do a search on the board here for subs. You will find that most folks prefer several other brands over the Polks for "bang for buck". I happen to have an HSU, many have an SVS. I think you will see that the SVS owners, in particular, are very loyal.
