Looking for a new sub for my bedroom I now have a polk PSW10 sounds just a little weak no punch. I like my bass tight, clean & loud. I'd like a sub with a small footprint.I'm thinking that maybe the Velodyne SPL 1000 or Velodyne Mini Vee will work.Giving me more punch. I'm looking for some options. My room size 12x18 my current system is :

harold I have a vel spl 1000 series 2. i am running an aq sub 3 cable...lfe from avr to lfe to vel in sounds great with no problems..you might look at raymond cables for sub cable. it is made in usa, aq's were not i was dissapointed in this.. From the bottom it looks like a steep incline, From the top another down hill slope of mine. But I know the equilibrium's there! .."Faith No More"

Thanks for the input. That Mimi Vee looks to me in my price range. Might still go up to the spl 1000 if I can get a good deal. I'm running the sub on coaxle, long run inside a wall.Bedroom Stuff 5.1

I have one question: Why would you buy a "SUB"woofer that only goes down to 28Hz? That is the published lower extension on the minivee.
For the same price you can get a number of SVS subs with much greater range, and output. Call Erik at SVS and discuss your requirements with him.
FWIW, I have both a Minivee and a couple of SVS subs. The one thing I don't like about the minivee is the auto-on doesn't kick in as early as I'd like. It is a nice little sub, but it doesn't go down into real sub territory.HT/music rig
