I have a sony home theatre system (84W/ch 3 ohms) 4 speakers, and (160W 1.5 ohms) subwoofer. Will it be OK to substitute a POLK AUDIO (MONITOR SERIES 2) rated at 8 ohms for the front speakers and not damage anything?
Thanks.

You won't damage anything hooking up 8 ohm speakers but will require calibrating the level to compensate for the brand change, ohm load difference, and sensitivity of using different speakers.
