Equinox, Crystal Ball, Grand Illusion, Pieces of Eight, Cornerstone were all great Styx releases. Styx started to fall out of grace with me on Paradise Theater, when the theatrical aspects of the band became more important than their music, and yes I have the cool laser cut LP .........Styx was dead for me in 1983 with "Kilroy was Here" as nothing in it resembled there original direction.
Just my opinion, .............HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

I agree with the two posts above. I had (have) almost all the Styx albums on vinyl. Grand Illusion and Cornerstone are my favorites, I think.
I haven't listened to Styx in years... I don't have a turntable set up anywhere and I don't believe I have any of their music on CD. -
Well, what can I say, this band was once known as TW-4 and played my High School prom, they had Lady then along with all their covers, they did the Chicago high school dance scene and were very popular. They once picked me up in there "hippie van" when I was hitchen a ride home, a great bunch of guys.
I just caught them recently on the tube playing with a group of high school kids in an orchestra setting in Cleveland, the kids were awesome and so was Styx, the way they blended their tunes with strings was something and the young people really enjoyed rocking out with them.
Have not seen them live in years, last time was when I was in Cali, the Roboto tour, man that was a long time ago.
Like Jcaut everthing I have now of their's is on vinyl and I enjoy spinning them on the Rega.
