Great TV. What are you replacing it with? The only tv I could think of that would even come close to yours would be the Sony SXRD...

That's a great TV; I had the 51" version and PQ was awesome.

    Good luck with the sale.

I agree I still have the 51swx20b and am still very impressed with PQ compared even to some of the newer TV's.

Thanks everyone. The picture is really nice, now you are making me regret listing it! But the problem is I may have to move this spring and I won't know where I'm placed until last minute. Towing this TV to either coast would not be fun at all. So I'm trying to see if I can sell it in advance and give me one less thing to worry about. I have a 37" Viewsonic 720P LCD that could get me by for a few months until I move. Can you imagine how dumb that small monitor would look next to my LSi15s? But I'm trying to convince myself it is just temporary and I'd look for a new 55-65" after I move.

I'm not sure if I ever posted the equipment in the pic for those curious: LSi15, LSiC, LSi9, HK AVR525 as pre-pro, pioneer sacd/dvda, Parasound 2205, Parasound 1500A, BFD, Adire Maelstrom 18" sealed, 8 aura bass shakers, and AR Pro II cables all around. Main source is a Pentium 4 with ATI HDTV Wonder via DVI to the 57SWX20B. I built the sub and the two equipment stands myself. The bass shakers are fun and help me feel like the bass is turned up without annoying my neighbors as much as that Maelstrom would.

That setup must sound REALLY good; 18" sealed sub.....must shake the whole building :)

P.S. You might want to enable PM's.....

Of course not, just trying to give you an excuse to upgrade TVs ;-) I see you are in Milwaukee, I had to drive up there to audition my LSi15s back in the day, there were none here in Chicago.

I would love to start out my "dream system":p with this TV(looks like someday though I'll be forced to buy a LCD:mad: ). Great price too, but I just don't have enough room (living in a small APT right now) and would have to drive to chicago and back... I would probably have to rent a U-haul to even consider this tv:eek: . Still, I would take this big monster over an lcd anyday.

Thanks, turned on PMs and fixed the email address so I actually get notifications of replies now.

I like the sound, and I am certainly going to drag the speakers and amps with me no matter where I move. The building has double brick walls behind plaster between all apartments for sound insulation, it probably isn't too bad for the neighbors. I also got a thick solid wood door for the entrance and put weather stripping around it, that really cuts down on sound escaping. For a long time I used the LSi15s alone and their bass response is very smooth, the Maelstrom just adds a little extension and the shakers add fun without turning up the volume. The sub and shakers are both eq'd to be subtle (although the BFG does add an annoying hum that I have not fixed).

I have a lot of hours on my TV... 3 years of using it as my primary TV and haven't had any bulb issues yet. I have only had one issue which I posted about a few months ago. The screen was progressively getting darker. All that needed done was the CRT gun connections needed cleaned and the TV was as good as new.

I just bought a 32" LCD Monitor by Toshiba and actually prefer the picture on the Hitachi.

    Somebody buy this!!!!!

I live near Chicago, so if sombody wants to buy this and have me keep it in my house, let me know. ;)

I also just bought an amp on here and was going to save up money for upgrading my speakers... Great tv and hopefully when I finally decide to purchase a tv, CRTs like these will still be around, probably not...:(
