So i think my Sony ES model # STR-DA2ES has 2 preamp outputs can any one conferm this? If it does what would be a good 2 CH. amp to push polk RTi12?

y cant you look in your manual. The AVR will say preout on the back. First time going seperates, look into Outlaw Audio, Adcom, good bang for the buck amps and of course you can save a buck or two on ebay or audiogon. And I also went on the Sony website, you do have preouts, so buy and enjoy. Welcome to the board.
