I just bought this transport and DAC combo on ebay and they arrived a couple of days ago. I had a lightning strike months ago and pretty much have replaced everything in my system with the exception of a cd player. I have been using my DVD player for a cd until now (HARSH!). I have polk SDA SRS, lexicon 501 800watt amps, adcom GTP600 preamp. I hooked these up yesterday after I bought a nice 75 ohm coax digital interconnect and some good rca interconnects to go from the DAC to the preamp. Very pleased, night and day from the sony DVD thing, of course. My questions are this: are these parasound products good, or am I missing even better sound, and: the transport has a plate on the back in which you can upgrade it to have XLR outputs and fiber outputs for the DAC. Am I ok with the coax digital cable or will I see marked improvement by purchasing the digital output upgrade from parasound?
