The Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle is at it again

Yes, they've banned "Gears of War" in Germany.

Or, more correctly, the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (Germany's video game rating board) has refused to give GOW a rating, effectively banning it.

Microsoft can't advertise the game, and game shops can't place it on the shelves. You can still get it, but you have to ask for it (they slip it to you in a brown paper bag ?).

Why the ban ?
Some boards say that it is because the Locusts speak German.
So the Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle wants to insure that German Locusts aren't offended ?

    lmfao!

But they're not offended by the lead character saying "F___ off" or "Eat S___ and die!"

    Well, I'm offended by Kraftwerk...

Can't ban them, now can I?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    But come on DB..
First thing, it's Gears of War.
    Then it's Yoplait Light.
Then it's all Barbara Hershey films.

Then it's friggin' Armageddon and you have to count yourself among those that sat and did nothing to prevent it.

How do you even sleep at night?:p

Well considering the Germans were the cause of 2 world wars almost back to back & what happened to the country after the 2nd one, can you blame them for being just a little sensitive about their portrayal in any war? Even if they are just bugs!:D
