I scored these last night on craigslist just to pass on to someone on here. Davemuel gets first dibs since he lives close to me and local pickup gets first dibs unless they don't sell.

Overall they are in good condition considering their 10-13 year age. One S4 grill has a couple of 1/4" holes in it.

4 S4's with stands $old to AndyGwis
1 S4 with no stand with a note on the back that it has bucking magnets $old to AndyGwis
2 S10's with stands $50 each

I paid the same price $220 total.

S4 specs: http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/s4/

S10 specs: http://www.polkaudio.com/homeaudio/specs/s10/

No boxes or manuals.

Cat not included.

Sami, I'm sure there's a way. Maybe someone else is making the trip.

I completely missed this one - I wish I needed these. Someone should grab them at these prices. Aren't the drivers and tweets the same as the LS series?

    Hi Candy,
Bikerboy here. I got the bucky magnets for the monitor 5 and it works great as a center speaker. Thanks again. WAF is making me think of a smaller pair to replace the monitor 7 for the mains. Would a pair of what you have be smaller and still sound close to the center? Something like the monitor 5 in size. I have an old speakerlab 10" sub so the bass isnt a big deal. I have been CL surfing but with no luck. I know shipping will add to the cost but I dont know anything about the sound of models you have. I saw your post before but didnt ask. Thanks.

I'm checking with my brother to make sure he still wants me to build him a budget HT for Christmas. If so, I'd be interested in at least the four (and probably the fifth) S4.

I'll get back to you with confirmation in the next 30 minutes. I'm in DFW but could find a way to make it work.

And/or, would you consider a trade for a minty pair of Monitor 7B's?

    Okay, I'll take the S4s (all 5 if you've got them). Doesn't look like they're spoken for. . .

Thanks! I'm in DFW but can find a way to meet or have a buddy in H-town pick them up. How would you prefer payment? PM coming your way.

EWW, I guess I could find a way to make that happen. I have an Acura 3.2CL (2-door coupe). . . but, maybe if I clean out the trunk and drive alone I can make it all work. Probably not enough room for the cat, tho.

I'll check to see how big they are.

Dave: thanks. Your bump seemed to get all this started.

Andy: PM received and replied. Congrats, 5 polks with 4 stands for $120 is one of the best deals I've seen although there are plenty of goods ones on here. The 5 S4's are sold.

Biker: the S4 would have been a good smaller center but be patient the polk centers come up pretty often on here and even on craigslist. Glad to hear you're getting good use out of the 5jr.

Carl: Put check in the mail on Friday afternoon. You should get it early this week. Also, one of my Htown buddies is coming up to Dallas for Xmas around 12/23. I may see if he can do the transport duties as a late birthday gift for me.

Let me know when you get that check

Carl, are the 10's still available?

I've seen them and they are in good shape - I don't need them, but someone on the forum should give them a try for this price...

Yes still available. No boxes but I'm willing to ship them if someone wants to pay for actual shipping charges which shouldn't be too much.

Thanks niner and dave for the comments. The S10's would make excellent fronts or rears for a HT.

Neat. That was my setup until I sold those to him in May, 2006, before we moved to Dallas. I didn't see this mentioned in these posts, but the fifth S4 has a bucking magnet mounted for center channel use.

The S4s are now in my brother's apartment down in Austin. They took a trip around Texas, I guess. Candy did tell me about the bucking magnet and it's being used as a center right now.
