I want to get a turn table. I'm not looking for super high end, but I don't want a piece of crap. I will not be buying until after feb. or so. What names should i look for/stay away from my budget is going to be about $150 used is defiantly an option.

You might pick up something like a Technics SL-1200 series, used, in your budget. I'm sure there are others.

get a well made turntable from the late 70's. I think that is about when they were at their height in popularity. Do some research between now and then.. and by the time Feb rolls around. you'll know exactly which brand and model you'd like to have.

Look locally first in the used market.. that way it won't have to be shipped. Which could damage it.

I just got a used Pioneer PL-530 locally earlier this week. Cost me $15. LOL best $15 I've ever spent. I replaced the needle for another $20. Total investment = $35. It sounds and looks sweet. I posted tons of pics of it here in the past few days. ha ha

good luck man. Where do you live in case I find a TT?
