When I was rewiring I ran out of wire. So my right surround and center channel have different wire. Is this going to effect sound at all? Kind of a stupid question I know.
Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

It's something I wouldn't like, feeling all wires sound different.

I would say get new wires, I wouldn't be able to live too long w/out the same wires in the front, same should go for a center channel if you have one and make all 3 wires the same length too!

I know many will disagree w/ me, but as far as I can tell, as long as you have wire of sufficent gauge for the length, and good connectors properly fastened on the ends, you should be just fine. If you change it & hear a difference, I would be intersted to hear all the details.

Are the guages the same on both types of wire?
BTW, if I had to extend any wire runs and had to use a different guage wire I would make sure the larger guage wire was leaving from the amp and the smaller guage wire was the extented to and hooked up to the speaker(s).Be gentle, I'm new to all this...
