Receiver wont push Monitor 60's

So I bought the Monitor 60's and a Psw10 today. Hooked everything watch the game no problems. Then I put on Dire Straits still no problem.
I put on Walk the line played about 45 seconds of it and the receiver cuts off. Try Dire Straits no problem. Try tupac receiver cuts off, try it again cuts off. The receiver is a tight spot and after it shuts off it says check wires.
I know we have discuss this before but does anyone have any other ideas.
The receiver is 100X5, it should be enough power.

Are the wires terminated? Check them very carefully for any stray contact. It sounds like a short.

you're welcome. If you don't find anything with the wires, it may be overheating and needs to breathe a little.

I am going to Home Depot in the morning and buying 14 gauge speaker wire and rewiring everything. I hate to admit it but my setup is kind of a mess. This might be the problem. I am going to try banana clips too.

Problem solved. Probably just wires running everywhere. I tied everything together.

Well I love it. I know that one day I am going to have to do the 2 channel amp+receiver. For now I am very happy.


I have listened to Styx, Dire Straits, Dixie Chicks, and Tupac and they all sound. Can't wait to watch Inside man tonight. The sub also helped out a lot.
