floor standing & in-wall combo help!
i am currently building my theater system and need some opinions please. I have rti10's for R/L front, and the csi 3 for the center. I want a 7.1 system and was planning on using the tc265i or the new lc265i for th remaining rears, all powered by a denon3806. would this be a good way to go? any help is appreciated.

You will want to go with the TC series, as they are timbre matched to the RTi line. The LC series is designed to integrate with the LSi line.
Also the LC series is 4 Ohm nominal impedance, which is not compatible with the Denon. -
i have been told that i need to step up to the csi5 for this setup with the rti's and the tc's. i will amp the rti's, probably with a rotel 200wpc. i think the cis3 will be fine, but don't want to take any chances on drowning it out since the cente is a vital home audio compnent. let me know and thanks for the help

No, it won't get drowned out, but the CSi5 is a better center. If it were me, and it wasn't going to be too big of a hassle, I'd opt for it.
If it is going to be a hassle, you'll be fine. You will need to calibrate the system, though, to accomodate the difference in power from your Denon and the Rotel.
Welcome to the Club, btw... -
thanks for the welcome and it's a pleasure to be a member. i have opted to go with the 4806ci denon. i think it will perform perfect and it has plenty of power for my needs. i also tracked down info on the theater grand 3 from sunfire. i know the sunfire product line is powerful, but i would like more opinion from experienced users. thanks in advance.

The TG III is a pre processor, kind of like a pre amp for HT. If you are looking for a straight receiver, you want the Ultimate Receiver II. I have the first generation Ultimate Receiver, the second adds component video conversion.
I love it. I know a lot of purists believe that the best sound comes from separates, and they are right. But for ease of use and from a performance standpoint, these receivers are hard to beat. They seem to be expensive at first glance, but when you compare the costs of buying separate components of a similar performance level, it's actually quite competitive.
The sound quality as compared to the Denon is a matter of subjective opinion. I do know the Sunfire is heads above it in build quality and performance.
I have had both...I still have the Sunfire, FWIW. -
Amulford seems to be giving you some good advice and is stearing you in the right direction so there's not much I can add except I second the Sunfire and the larger center. You can be overwelmed with options with what to get the main thing is to get something going and down the road if you deside that something is a miss you can make changes but speakers are the one thing you would like to get as close to right the first time and the larger center would be the best choice for your fronts.
welcome to the forum and good luck
