So, this is what i did....I was on the way to fry's but i decided to spot by tweeter..and there they were...I ended up buying a pair of PA monitor 60s (euros) + monitor 30s (euros) and they gave me a free PSW10 sub. So, i have two subs now....I'm gonna be instaling them on friday! OMG, I cant wait!Audio system lost to water damage...

yeah, that's the deal I got. Too good to pass up with the monitors at half off. You can trade that PSW10 in for $200 towards any of Tweeters other subs, BTW.
So, take it back and get one of their better subs that are currently onsale.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Yeah, I know! I was like this is crazy...such a good deal + a free sub. I was sold the minute the guy told me i get a free sub! Ok now i have two PSW10 subs....trade in is a good idea! But, im on a budget here....the free PSW10 + $50...so a sub for $250? IDK, might just stick with two PSW10s..but, first i gotta install and hear first!....Frys has the PSW303 for $150...so temting!
Im away from home now for TG but once im back....im gonna enjoy this!Audio system lost to water damage... -
Tweeter carries a nice 10" Martin Logan sub for $500.
If you trade the PSW 10 in you can get that for 250.00.Michael

I've had the PSW10 and it sucks in my opinion. It's boomy, doesn't go very low and easily distorts.
I'd return both of them and get something better. -
The thing is that i got the first PSW10 about a year and a half ago from CC...i tried returning it awhile ago but unsuccesful......
i agree, the PSW10 is boomy and I dont like that (who does?)....honestly, when I had my R50s hooked up to my bookshelf system they sounded so much better (my receiver sucks so....). Then i decided to do 5.1 and got the receiver (i was a noob and didnt know much)...the speakers sounded BAD....no bass) i tried everything but with no results so i decided to get a sub...at first it was OK but then the more i played with it that more i hated it!
Now...finaly i made it sound good but the Hz is set to 0 not to (whatever the max was)....I finaly get the deep bass.
I'm 22, full time architecture major studen and I really dont have the time and funds to go over the top + i live in a condo. Neigbors hate it when i throw a party. PSW10 will serve the purpose for now...unless tweeter matched oder vendor's prices...Fry's PSW303 $150.Audio system lost to water damage... -
I think tweeter will work with you if you can show proof of Fry's price. Like a flyer or something. Or print the price page off the web and take it with you. The worst they can say is no.Michael

well, i asked them if they match the prices and they said yes.....but i didnt ask if they can match that...I'm gonna go to a diffrent tweeter and ask them in person about that price....if not, I will take the brand new PSW10 (still ni the box) to a Cash Converters...and I hope they give me like $160 for it!....then with the money, i'll go to frys and pick up a PSW303. I took my Old PSW10 to Cash Converters and they gave me $110 for it! This one is brand new....i'll ask for some more. Anything over $150 is fine with me!
The new M60s and M30s sound amazing with my cheap yamaha receiver, i wonder how they will sound with a better one...but hey, my b-day is in January...another treat for myself. I'm thinking Denon 2603 (i think)!
I'll post pics soon...Audio system lost to water damage... -
Now now, PSW10 is a great very-entry subwoofer, all things considered. The fact that you can buy it for under $100 makes it very worthwhile for entry level gear (it has a special place in my heart since it was my first). I matched it with R30's and it improved the fidelity of the system quite nicely.
So yes, it might suck compared to any other sub... but how many of those can you buy for $100?Lovin that music year after year.

The PSW10 was my first sub too matched with p pairs of R50s and R30s...I found a way to match it with my system very nicely...but now, $150 for a PSW303 is a very atractive price and I'm trying to upgrade. Can't agree more. After all, the PSW10 is a crappy subLovin that music year after year.

Let me tell you. Compared to $1000 Bose Acoustimass 10 the $100 PWS-10 is alot better. Yes I had a Bose system with the tiny Acoustimass Jewel speakers and the Acoustimass 10 sub. Although it is supposed to have close to 300 watts it does not compare to the PWS-10. My setup of
Fronts Monitor 40's
CSI-25 center speaker
PWS-10 sub
R300 surrounds
and R150's rear surrounds
sound way better than the Bose. Also it cost about $500 less than the Bose system. So yes compared to other more expensive Polk systems the PWS-10 may be crappy but compared to other systems even more expensive ones for the price I think you wont find a better sub.
