Definitely my health. Got good news today that my blood pressure plummeted back to normal after being high several weeks back. All the diet and exercise I got back into worked. I knew it would!

Also thankful for all the good people on the Polk Forum who make life a bit more interesting and fun.

I hope everyone has a great holiday!
    No excuses!

My middle girl is doing MUCH better in school this year. Other then that I'm just glad this year is over. It was a rough one.

Still ,after reading other posts, I shouldn't overlook healthy, well behaved kids, wife of 14 years, family and friends. New speakers and more to come(ha ha!) and an over all good life inspite of a year that really stuck it to me.

I am most thankful for my wife. She ROCKS in every conceivable way. I am also thankful for second chances since the first wife didn't quite pan out!

Other than that I am just happy to be alive. Even with all the work, money, traffic, taxes, death and politics crap in the world today, I have it pretty damn good and I am thankful for it.

One last thing - I am thankful I live in the United States of America. We have our problems here, but it is still the best damn place on the planet.

Ok - another thing now that I think about it - I am thankful for all of the men and women in uniform standing up for this great nation at home and abroad, military and civilian.

Alright – this is it, I mean it. I am thankful for all of you Polkies that I have come to know, either personally or by reputation in the forums. I can’t tell you how many times this place has pulled me out of a funk or just plain helped me out.

Happy Thanksgiving and May God bless you all.

Life has been good to me, no doubt about that. I'm probably most thankful for my wife; after 14 years of unhappy marriage, she's a breath of fresh air and a joy to be around. My best friend, my lover, my partner in crime. She'll try nearly anything, and supports me with nearly everything. They don't make them like her anymore.

With all that said, bless our troops for having the courage of their (and our) convictions.

Happy Thanksgiving Polkies, enjoy your holiday!

Family, friends, country, new home, audio, health for me and the one's I love, good eats, better treats, music past present and future, the best of times along with the worst of times for making the former possible, CLUB POLK, Louisville Cardinal football, a tall glass of bourbon, a good read, God, a pet I don't yet have....

    among other things
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I am thankful for (in no particular order)....

my mom and my sister....for standing by me, no matter what the size of my mistakes

my girlfriend, Jen....whom I met on a TV dating show and re-connected with earlier this year after being apart for one year....thanks for accepting all my faults and stupidity

my (relatively good) health....despite all the junk food (yummy donuts) and fast food (fries....mmmm) I ate and all the exercise I didn't do

my (relatively good) job....despite some of the (stocking-trading on the job) slackers I work with

my friends....for all the support you've shown me throughout the years

everyone here at Club Polk....for the fun and engaging discussions (more tasteful babe pics please) about everything

living in this country....no matter what happens, this is indeed still the best place on the planet

return policies at various retailers....answering my "buyer's remorse" at various times

dogs....for truly being human's best friend

I'm thankful for Matt pursuing a career in the audio field. I know some of you will think I'm sucking up but it's true.

I fell in love with SDA's when I first heard them and they opened up the world of audio to me. Here are two interviews with Matt that some of you may not have read.

My health and the general good health of all around me. G-ma is in the hospital basically just diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. It sucks around the holidays to have a family member dying, but she is 93 and she's lived a full, happy and sickness free life. Plus I've enjoyed many many great times with the grandparents; more than I can remember so I feel very lucky about that. She has said for the past 2-3 years she's ready to go anytime and I think her time is up. I just hope she doesn't suffer too much.

This thanksgiving will be special as we reflect on those who are gone (my brother lost his wife to cancer earlier this spring at age 31) and those struggling (like g-ma). I am especially thankful this year for what has been and for what's to come.

    I am thankful for:

1.All the military personnel who have put their lives on the line voluntarily for you, our country, and me.

2.God. For giving me, a second chance at life after I destroyed it three times in the past through my own fault and through no fault of my own.

3.My brother for giving me a roof over my head while I recovered.

4.My excellent health despite my abuses throughout my life.

5.My older son who is a well-adjusted, successful guy despite having a nut for a father.

6.My wife of almost two years now, who is the love of my life, another chance to do things right.

7.My new son, another chance to do things right.

8.A family who is always there for each of us no matter what the problems or issues.

9.God. For giving me the opportunity to buy a new home and start over again . . . and the opportunity to do the right thing all the time.

10.God. For giving me a mental illness, so that I can understand the mentally ill as well as the drunks and junkies in this world so I can do everything in my power to help them.

11.God. For allowing me to resume and afford this audio obsession again.

12.God. For allowing my ex-wife (my older son's mom) to survive and recover from open heart surgery.

13.God. For the opportunity to meet and be a part of all you gals & guys on this forum.

Congrats!!! That's a big step. From now on, all the holidays will be changed
for you. You'll get to see them from a child's perspective again.
Also, nothing like the sight of a toddler who has decided to remove the tonearm
from your turntable! Secure your audio stuff well.
