DIY VH Audio cat 5 speaker wires

Well I have gone over the deep end. I braided more cat 5 wire than I will ever want to see again. 290 ft to work with the sda-2s. Still new (20 hr)but the bass and mid bass is tighter and cleaner than ever. The top is very clear and almost analytical but on better recordings it is wonderful. I followed VH Audio's instructions. The interconnect wire is soldered to the stock connectors and I used RS spades for the speaker and amp ends. Just replacing the IC wire made a small but noticable diff. That helped to motivate me to finish all of them. Now the speakers are further away from the walls and still the bass goes plenty low.
I also made a IEC ac power cord for my preamp with 12 ga romex-Flavor 3 version but no shield. It seems to help with the low end also.
The man cave system sounds dam good. Ever the radio is better sounding.
Now I am going to work on the turntable. Eichman rca connectors and maybe that japanese wire VH Audio sells to replace the 2 pairs of ICs between the mc head amp and the Hagman phono and the preamp. Maybe replace the wire in the 20 year old denon. LPs are sounding great but could be better.
I really want to replace the tone arm on the Denon with something that is a solid arm without the rubber bushing next to the counterweight or the 2 disconnects that allow you to swap arms or heads. A solid arm seems like a big improvement but wouldnt cost too much. The motor and base are great.
Thanks to all the nut cases here on this forum that think music can sound way better than what the other 99% get to hear.

It can. I had some friends over the other night listening to my 2 CH rig. It's sounding pretty good. My friend is into music, but hasn't went over the top with his stereo. Well, I put in Peter Gabriel "So" and start to kick it.
His wife asks him what we are listening to, and he tells her, saying they have it and she's heard it before. She says "We do? I don't ever remeber hearing it like this..."
