I thought the Browns had the Steelers after the first half. Needless to say, I was not shocked when we lost, as I've been conditioned for this type of crap over the 26 years of my life.

The Ravens seem to be under most sports analysts radar these days. All the talk is about the Colts and Bears. Not a ton being said about a team that just shut down the Falcons to go to 8-2.
    No excuses!

Ravens? Idaknow SB...their schedule looks a little soft for the first part of the season. Gotta think they need to blow-out a few teams to really be taken seriously as a contender this year.

    Not flamin', just my $.02.

Hey! Where's Mr. Nightly and his chest thumpin' K.C Boggy Woggy Dance......They certainly were impressive in their thrashing of the Faiders this week.

7 wins in a row by 7 points or less. One of the most bitter rivals in sports! Heck, I even picked the raiders to cover the spread! Any fan knows that a 10pt spread was simply uneducational! :D

Was I impressed? Um, no. Will I take a "W"? You bet!

With the Jets losing and the Jags hopefully tomorrow night, we're sitting right were we need to be.

The Turkey game will make or break our season... here's to Thursday!!! :D

I thought this was the day for the Browns. Steelers pretty much stunk up the place. Browns couldn't make a play in the 4th quarter.

Although no one else on the planet watched the Rams/Carolina game, I'd like to give kudos to the "Greatest Blow on Turf" for making the Panthers defense look like the Steel Curtain of the 70's.

    Well done ! Attaboy !

The 7 QB sacks on Bulger set a Carolina record !.
As one St. Louis broadcaster put it, "Bulger was on his back more than a Jefferson Avenue streetwalker".

Rams shut out for the first time since 1998.

On 12 possessions, the Rams had nine punts, an interception, a fumble and a safety as they finished with 111 yards.

Rams "power" running back Steven Jackson ran for 27 yards on 7 carries.

Little "Tip o' the Day" to the Rams offensive tackles: You can't pass block with your feet set 12 inches apart.

Another interesting week in the pool, though.

Spoken like a true moron, regardless of who played. They suck, and stumbled on a win? This is the NFL, no one anymore is 'above the law', and games like this prove it.

They were playing an undefeated team, that just so happened to have the 3rd worst rushing defense in the league. They exploited the one thing the Colts have forced everyone to do, you have to use the clock, and make LONG drives. They (Indy) won't give up the hail mary, and they will let you chip away with the run - but VERY few (none so far this year) have been able to execute DRIVES. 50, 60, 70, 80 yard drives, taking 4-7 minutes off the play clock. The Colts make you WORK. The Cowboys clocked in, and WORKED this afternoon. End of story.

    Cheers,

Glad to see the Panthers pull off a win...

Granted the score should of been more like 100 to 0 (Panthers win) - seemed like we could of scored multiple times but threw it to the wrong team by a receiver and fumbled it at the 5...

I was working and fast forwarded through a tape...

Good to see em win two in a row - seems like the old Panthers are back after a long rest or something... kind of odd...

Props to the Chargers for playing a great game. The Broncos played well too...untill Jake the Mistake tossed the INT. He went to crap after that.

LT is an incredible athlete and a class act! I have to agree with Madden and Michaels...a lot of players could learn alot about celebrating after a touchdown by watching how LT handles himself after a TD. Nothing but class!

    Frank:
The entire offense was a joke in the second half. Only 6 points! As for the defense, the Broncos need to draft two monster tackles because they can't get pressure inside against the big O-lines in the second half. It looked like a repeat of the Indy game.

The Broncos whole season rests on Thursday night. The question is, which Bronco team shows up.

As for LT, couldn't agree more, kudos to his parents for ingraining him with an honest humility.

McNabb was the one good part of my fantasy team. Consider me effed for the rest of the season.

I cannot figure out what the heck happen to the Shehawks. I mean, I respect Gore and all, but they made him look like the highlight reel of Barry Sanders. Seneca made some very poor choices when it came to throwing the ball. At least the Rams lost as well.

The Cowboys....I mean Parcells.....put together the perfect gameplan to defeat the Colts. Were they lucky.....I don't think so. The Cowboys should be 8-2 right now and even the announcers of yesterday's game said that. The Boys are ranked near the top of the league(top 10 and top 5 in a lot) in just about every major category.

I just wish Vanderjadt would either get his head out of his **** or get traded for someone that won't miss from less than 50 yards. I can't remember Dallas ever having this much of an issue at the kicking position. He's cost them at least 2 games this year and almost the Colt's game.

Anyways, the Cowboys are a damn good team and will be there in January playing for the Superbowl....unless something devastating happens to Romo.

Speaking of Romo....he definitely has "IT". He might have even taken over the top spot in QB rating after yesterday's performance. A lot of QBs would have fell apart after the slow start he had yesterday, but he took it like a seasoned pro and pulled out the win.

EDIT: Romo is still 2nd, but did gain on Manning. 100.5 to 100.0. Pretty damn close!!!!

If the Falcons defense were not so banged up we might could stop somebody. Vick is at least playing mediocre, rather than bad, but...

The radio this morning said that McNabb's ACL tear is very bad and they cannot do surgery on it until the swelling goes down. We're talking 2 months here. After that, he has surgery to repair it with as much as two more months of healing and then, 6-8 months of re-hab. McNabb won't even start the next season and if he does come back, he will never be the mobile QB he once was. Sucks for him and the Eagles but honestly, if they played like the team they are, they would be sitting pretty right now as an 8-2 or even a 9-1 team and they could sail to the playoffs. But, they choked too many times and they are going to struggle to finish with a winning season let alone the playoffs.

The Cowboys played an excellent game. They were firing on all cylinders and they just brought it against the Colts. Romo showed real promise and this was his first game on home turf. He shined bright enough to get comparisons to quite a few of the great QB's throughout the years. The kid's got potential and Parcells is going to get it out of him. Beyond that, the Colts just got out played Sunday. They didn't do anything different than any other day and they also played well. The Cowboys beat them. Not on turnovers, not on stupid penalties and not on any fault of the Colts. They just beat the Colts. I was surprised because I thought Indy's first loss would have come from the Pats. If they got past them, thier season would have been quite light and may have been undefeated. I didn't think the Cowboys would have been the ones.

I don't think they will do it this year but next year, thee Cowboys are going to be contenders for the Super Bowl, with or without T.O.

Haven't you noticed that there are quite a few 6-4 teams??

    Check the stats. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/statsTeam
    http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/sortableStats?div=NFL&stable=passing&stat=passRate&dir=descending

Now that they have the 2nd rated QB in the league and one of the top 6 defensive and top 6 offensive teams, things will be a lot different this second half of the season. Don't be surprised when they end up 11-5 or 12-4. The Cowboys rank in the top 10 in almost every major category, with a lot of those in the top 5 or top 3.

The Colts didn't play a bad game(the Colts are my 2nd favorite team, too), they just got beat, period. They faced a very strong defense that came out and did what needs to be done to put the Colt's high powered offense on their collective heels...the popped them right in the mouth and never let up.
