i`am using mono amps,i was wondering if it is possible to use a stereo amp also.mono`s on the bottom, stereo amp on the top.
not sure with the common ground thing, maybe i need to use 4 monoblocs.

currently using the ai1 interconnect cable, sda srs 1.2tl

If you like call Ken Swauger at Polk CS he is the man for SDA. As long as you are using the AI-1 and have removed the binding straps you can bi-amp the 1.2TL, how you bi-amp is up to you. If your preamp does not have dual outputs you will need to y-cable out.

as long as you have the a1 cable, you should be fine. with that cable you can have a monoblock for the upper and ;ower of each speaker if you want, common ground no longer an issue. cant see why a stereo amp on the tops should be an issue if running monos for the bottom. call Ken though, it cant hurt.

To really make this worthwhile, you should pick up some f-mod pseudo active crossovers... I don't know if they make them at the recommend points for SDA's (300 HP, 4.5k LP), but as long as you get filter out the lows going the tweeter amplifier, you should hear some improvement.
