SDA SRS Problem

Hi to all... I have an ongoing problem with my SDA SRS speakers...
Tweeter arrays shut down way earlier than they should. I believe
this is a feature to protect them from overdriving, however I want
to be able to utilize higher volume level without them shutting down.
I would appreciate any advice or comments with regard to this
problem.
Thanks,
Pete

Seems like your polyswitches are getting old......if you ask nicely Polk CS will mail you a pair. If you have decent soldering skills you can change them yourself (one per speaker in the crossover).

If you are doing it, you might as well change capacitors and resistors..do a search for crossovers and you'll see many threads talking about this.

    Welcome!!!

Welcome to the Club Polk Forums Pete! I agree with the rest of the boys that you've probably got a bad polyswitch. Call Polk Customer Service. They'll probably send you one free of charge or bill you just a couple of bucks!

    Welcome and good luck!

Welcome to the club,a phonecall or an e-mail will most likely net you some polyswitches. Use the "search" function to help you regarding replacing them.
    Have fun :)

Two questions, what are you using for power and on a clock scale, at what point do the tweeters shut down?
