What say the forum? Saw one on audiogon. One to consider or are there better HT receivers in this price range?. I want one that can handle both movies and music.

That is a very subjective question, for the money I think it is the best thing out there. It does a great job for both, I use mine as a pre/pro. Remember that is last years model, the new one is the 84.

Nope, not really.
The main thing is Foroudja upscaling which I don't want. I'd rather have the player or my display do that.
They got rid of the Burr Brown DAC's with the 84 which is a downgrade in my book. -
