    Those are great speakers. Pre-1990(?) models were called "Monitor 11T." They don't get recognition of other Polk models, but whenever the discussion comes up folks seem to rate them only below the RTA-15 and SDS models.

    I have a pair of Monitor 11Ts. $40 at a yard sale plus $25 for a new tweeter and tung oil. Not bad for something that cost ~$1000 when new.

    That's a friggin steal. Somebody in that area needs to jump all over those, even if they need a driver or two.

    You can also get the silk dome tweeter upgrades for these. Supposed to make a big difference. It's on my list when I have some extra cash, although they sound excellent as-is.

    Hey all .There a great speaker . and for the price ,, real good . I bought a pair of the rta 11t when i was 19 from a store in nyc ,, and no i dont have money i saved for the speakers ,, i think i paied 1100 for the pair i had the black ash. i did fry a few tweeters but the guys from plok allways sent me new ones ,, they even sent me ones to try ,,free . ,, there is nothing wrong with looking for a deal on cl ... i got a procced amp 3 off there for a 100 bucks , oh well ..hope you get them ,, any one anything about paramid met 9 speakers ?
    Living room System .. Proceed Amp2/Bi wired (Tara labs rca). Nakamichi ca5 pre amp. Nakamichi oms 4 and 5 cd players .panasonic DVD player. Sony turntable.. North creek borelas speakers. ( I built the kit i bought from the company) Enegry 10in sub
    Kimber cable for speakers . All monster rca.... Next is the bedroom is a old vintige system for records .carver
    receiver .sony turntable .Pioneer laserdisc player cld -s 201 . Polk rta 11t .. I have these since i was 20 ..
    My den Nad 2200 amp parasound psp/1500 av pre amp .. sony cdp 111 cd . And a Parasound DIAC CD analog converter. Klipsch forte..monster cables ..

    The guy did reply, but sadly, he thought they were sold and told me he'd let me know today, if so. Haven't heard, won't hold my breath.
